There’s no denying she’s a Material Girl, after Madonna was spotted viewing a sprawling four-storey mansion worth almost £7 million while house hunting in Lisbon. The 59 year old hit maker, and mother of six, is scouring the Portuguese capital for a new family home to help support her 11-year-old son’s footballing ambitions with Benfica, following a successful trial with the reigning Portuguese champions earlier this year.

Built in 1865, the 21,000 square foot mansion is located in the historical centre of the city and boasts four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, four garages and a staggering twenty parking places – all of which is set in a lavish five-and-a-half acres of land. As the best-selling female recording artist of all time Madonna isn’t short of a bob or two, and is reported to have already splashed out an 18th-century palacete in romantic hilltop town of Sintra, 20 miles northwest of Lisbon.
